I hope this helps others ask the right questions and ensure that this doesn't happen to them.
We thank you so much for your care and kindness after our son's sudden death.
My mother in law recently passed away. I tried to meet them at the Assisted Living where she was living to bring a dress and whenever i arrived they had already left. I then called and asked about bringing the dress like he had mentioned the day before. He said she was already dressed, that's bellaire had dressed her and that she , "looked beautiful". I decided it was best not to disturb her if she looked beautiful and we was properly attired. When we went the next morning for the viewing with my husbands sisters from out of town, we fist did the paperwork and then he brought her in for us to have a moment with her. She was dressed in a pyjama too I had bought her last year. It was not proper attire for a viewing and O was very embarrassed because they had let me handle that one thing. I would have appreciated more information. I told him I was from France and that this was my first death in the US. I asked if they had white gowns or something special they had already dressed her in... I was shocked and very upset that I wasn't told she was wearing a pyjama too... communication is everything especially during difficult times. Next time I will ensure that things are done properly. I hope this helps someone else avoid an embarrassing moment for them and their family. Even if it is a cremation, decency matters.
Thank you for the fast service. Your professionalism was a huge help during a stressful time.
really do a great job
We had planned on making other arrangements in the future for family members and have now changed our minds.
Today is February 16 2017. It has been over a week and we finally received a phone call today to inform us that my mother in law's cremation was completed and her ashes were available. We were told last Wednesday that they would be available that Saturday. When we didn't hear from them, I called Monday and was told that they were "backed up 8 bodies." I still haven't gotten over those words. Very insensitive during an extremely difficult time. We were therefore unable to have the gathering Monday as we had planned.
